The Business Linkage Centre
Developing Small Business, Creating Jobs
The driving force behind the Business Linkage Centre initiative was to create a way to link emerging Small Business with Big Business and to create job opportunities and stimulate the economy. The main area of focus is the Greater Boksburg area.
The sponsoring companies actively participate in the programme, engaging the services of small emerging business people. The Business Linkage Centre has become the first point of contact for companies when seeking the services of small emerging contractors. The key to success is the willingness of large companies to take up the challenge to develop and support emerging business.
We provide the following support services:
- Small Business Training
The BLC, together with Impala Platinum and the Ekurhuleni East College for Further Education and Training, has developed training modules that focus specifically on the needs of emerging businesses. - Business Advice & Information
The BLC is frequented by existing, prospective and emerging business people wanting advice on a variety of business matters. These matters include business plan and profile development, advice on starting a new venture and advice on financial management.
Program Success (Business Linkages)
Since the start of the programme in 2000, commercial links to the value of R122 583 156.71 were made between the sponsoring companies and emerging SMMEs in the Greater Boksburg area.
