The Services we offer:
At the GBCCI, we attempt to provide our members with a full range of services and support. Through our association with SACCI and the ICC, various trade delegations visit Boksburg and this could provide Numerous Investment Opportunities to our local SMME business community. It can be the start of bilateral trade agreements, which in turn can create valuable links. We can arrange meetings with these visiting trade delegations.
The GBCCI stays in contact with Local, Provincial and National Government. We lobby on behalf of our members. We also look at issues that relate to law, services, labour, safety and security, development and others. This is done together with SACCI and the EBA.
We provide Certificates of Origin for a nominal fee. A Certificate of Origin is a document that proves that goods in a specific export shipment are all produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country (a country of origin). These certificates are required in order to comply with foreign customs laws. Through the GBCCI and SACCI, information related to changes in Trade Agreements is made known and advice about these changes is available. Trade enquiries made from abroad can also be obtained.
The GBCCI provides a Special Information Service.
Should a member require any specific information on any given subject such as accommodation for guests, laws on registering companies, institutions providing courses related to businesses or any other questions our members may have, our staff can be of assistance.
Seminars can be arranged to advise businesses on a variety of topics. Should a member feel that a certain seminar is important to other members, please contact our office and we will try to assist you. Members have discounted rates when attending these seminars.
Social Functions such as business breakfasts, evening and cocktail functions are held. Business owners and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to liaise and network with other business owners and entrepreneurs. This promotes support for business in Boksburg.
We are also able to help with Finance for overseas Exhibitions. This provides businesses with an opportunity to exhibit products overseas. Through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) up to 80% of costs can be covered. Conditions laid down by the DTI have to be followed.
